Manalapan Township is located in Monmouth County. It is approximately 30 minutes south travelling from the Outer Bridge. You can travel to NYC via the NJ Transit Bus Line along the Route 9 corridor. Surounding towns are Marlboro, Freehold Township, Jamesburg, Millstone and Monroe. Manalapan is home to the well known apple orchards and pumpkin patches that many frequent, such as Battleview Orchards, Wemrock Orchard. Happy Day Farm and Maple Leaf Farm. You can buy baked goods and drinks there, as well.
Property lots open up and provide more space as you travel further south and closer to Route 33. You really get a sense of open surburbia here. So much shopping and restaurants, too. Children will attend one of the 6 elementary schools and then MEMS (Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School) for grades 7 & 8. Students will then continue in the Freehold Regional HS District. There are zoned schools relative to your residence. However, students can apply for acceptance to 1 of the many Academys or Learning Centers the High Schools Offer. The Freehold Regional High School District is comprised of schools from different Western Monmouth County Towns. There are so many programs and places for recreation, as well. Manalapan is home to Knob Hill Country Club where events have been held. As you travel south in Manalapan, you can see the many farms and open space. Many from the NY area have relocated here as the commuting distance to NYC is about 1 hour 10 min by bus. You can get to the NJ Tunpike by either travelling north on Route 9 or West on Route 33.
