Jackson Township, centrally located is found in Ocean County. It is a little further south, but is conveniently located near the New Jersey Turnpike, so you are never too far away from lots of things to do. You can take Hwy 195 East from the New Jersey Turnpike to the Garden State Parkway. Head to beach on a hot summer day or the boardwalk on a crisp fall afternoon via Highway 195.
If you prefer to stay local, enjoy Six Flags Great Adventure and all the attractions it has to offer. Many come near and far to enjoy what is practically in your backyard in Jackson: rides in the summer along with the water park; Frightfest in the fall and now Holiday in the Park. What a great way to spend a day or evening enjoying the winter season. They have some rides open, as well as shops, food, snacks and hot chocolate. You can even make your own smores over a fire. Don’t forget to see all the beautiful holiday lights that just make the park sparkle. As an added bonus, pay admission and purchase a season pass for the 2019 season. Make sure you then pass by the Six Flags Outlets for some shopping and don’t forget…we don’t pay sales tax on clothing here…great perk!
