Enjoy many great specials from the local restuarants at Pier Village. Locate in Long Branch which has been changing over the years with new residences and restaurants along the beach. This is a great place to eat, shop, relax on the beach or just walk the board walk. The following restaurants are favorites…Sirena Ristorante and McLoone’s Pier House right on the boardwalk. Walk further north and there is Rooney’s Oceanfront Restaurant which offers indoor and outdoor dining areas. Walk along Pier Village, grab a bite, snack or dessert amongst the many restaurants that align the streets of the development. The Turning Point offers breakfast, brunch and lunch…delicious. In the summer there is always music playing at their outside patio of the Ocean Place Resort and Spa. Grab a chair on the sand and relax. Great amenities here, too if staying. Many have had events here, such as weddings, birthday parties, and conferences. Another great place to stay is the Bungalow Hotel: beautiful and very chic. On the Fourth of July every year (rain or shine) enjoy live entertainment, fool, craft vendors and summer activities. Witness the master sand-sculpting exhibition. There is a new ice skating rink, too. Leave some time for parking if you have a reservation for dinner. There is metered parking or a municipal lot on Ocean Blvd (entrance is on 2nd Avenue). No disappointments here when planning a day or evening out.
For college bound seniors, Long Branch is also the home to Monmouth University…Go Hawks! What’s better than attending college less than 1.5 miles to the beach!
